05/2020 New lock Terneuzen (Nederland)

Many beautiful pictures of our equipment have already passed Social Media, so it’s no surprise when we tell you that we can also be found on one of the most beautiful contemporary projects; of course the new lock in Terneuzen!

Contractor combination Sassevaart consisting of BAM (its Dutch and Belgian sister companies BAM Infra and BAM Contractors), DEME (DEME Infra Marine Contractors B.V. and Dredging International N.V.) and the Belgian construction company Algemene Aannemingen Van Laere N.V. are working hard to improve access and throughput from the Westerschelde to the canal from Ghent to Terneuzen and to set up a new lock complex.

Recently Van Tunen can be found on this impressive project with a Caterpillar 390 triple boom excavator to dredge at a depth of -22 meters, our Caterpillar 349 is active in material handling. In addition, our dumpers Caterpillar 745 drive off and on with sand and of course our bulldozer D6T LGP is also present. What a nice spread of equipment! !

This extensive project will be built until 2022, so for the time being we hope to collaborate nicely on this impressive project.
