12/2020 : Van Tunen in France

This time we’re traveling to the south of France and, thanks to the Internet, I’m sure it hasn’t escaped the attention that our largest LRE excavators have been transported in this direction.

The project involves constructing of a port by extending the current seawall up to 600 meters, and building a northern breakwater that will be almost 2500 meters long. The breakwaters will be built with accropodes (concrete objects) with a piece weight of 18-34ton. To place these heavyweights we will use our CAT 6015B triple boom, and besides the usual yellow fellows from Van Tunen we can now also be seen in orange. Because also the Hitachi 1900-EX LRE Triple Boom with a reach of 40m is doing its utmost to contribute its ‘weight’ to this mighty beautiful project.
