06/19 Rock ripping in Aberdeen

Colcrete von Essen, a major German marine contractor, is currently working in Aberdeen’s South Harbour for the construction of new breakwaters. To get the job done, they asked Van Tunen to lend a helping hand (or rather: rock ripper). We gladly obliged and sent one of our special long reach excavators, a CAT 390 equipped with the largest Xcentric ripper available, to rip rock from Colcrete von Essen’s spud pontoon. Our unexpected bonus: a rock-ripping backdrop in the shape of a rainbow.
