11/2015 UK Sealine Project – Van Oord
Laying 4.3 kilometers of oil pipeline. Within four weeks. With tidal differences of seven meters. At Van Tunen, we like a good challenge. So when Van Oord asked our assistance with one of their Sealine- projects in the UK, we didn’t hesitate. Together with Van Oord our experienced staff established the safest and quickest approach. The pressure was on, since everyday activities in the area had to be resumed after only four weeks. To meet this tight deadline we used two of our long reach excavators. With these power cranes of our own design we managed to help move 300.000 m3 of sand under strenuous tidal circumstances. Safely and swiftly. Mission accomplished.
