Since the end of last month, you will find us in Jamaica to assist one of our French clients in the dredging and construction industry.
We will assist them day and night at this challenging project which overall consist of the extension of the port of Kingston, Jamaica, and has started July 2016.
Main scope of the project covers, first and foremost, the refurbishment, reinforcement and upgrade to seismic standards of 1,200 metres of quays and the related dredging work in the access channel. The projects will take around 25 months to complete. Van Tunen will assist mainly with the dredging activities for a part of the project, off course we will do this with one of our heavy special long reach excavators dredge to a final depth of -22m.
